Houston Galleria is urbanely developed and located in the Uptown District of Houston, Texas. This galleria holds two office towers, a health club, two hotels, and a financial centre. The galleria is also the home to a large mall which takes the role of the 7th largest mall in the entire United States. Glenn H. McCarthy invented the idea of having a super size shopping mall and a hotel in one back in the 1940s. In 1970 Gerald D. Hines made those dreams become a reality. The mall currently has over 900,000 feet of retail room.

The Houston Galleria is the home to many shopping stores including Macy's, Wet Seal, MAC Cosmetics, Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Marshall's, and many more. There are also plenty of high class boutiques such as Louis Vuitton, Carroll Paris and Velleriano Italy. This galleria also has a very popular attraction, the beautiful full-sized ice rink of the Galleria's ground floor. There are over 50 restaurants and food shops in this galleria complex. The two hotels here are the Westin Oaks and the Galleria Plaza Hotel.

This Galleria has its very own website where you can take a virtual tour of the whole place or purchase online gift cards that can be used throughout the Galleria. The lost and found centre is located on the third floor. There is also a post office next to the FYE shopping centre. There are wheelchairs and special accommodations for those that are disabled visitors at the Galleria. Don't forget to grab a coffee from Starbuck's and an ice cream from the Cold Stone Creamery when you visit the Houston Galleria.
